What is the Leuven Meeting on Myocardial Velocity and Deformation Imaging?
This 2-day interactive symposium is dedicated to current research and bedside application of these rapidly evolving imaging modalities. The symposium will comprise review lectures on the methodologies, research results directly from the (animal) lab as well as lectures on clinical applications presented by world experts in the field. This year's course will focus on new developments and clinical applications in the field of tracking methods and their application in 2 and 3 dimensional echocardiography of the myocardium and bloodpool. The assessment of RV function is another focus of interest. "Hot topics", such as imaging in CRT, will be covered.
Who should attend?
The symposium is aimed at cardiologists and technicians who already have a basic under-standing of Doppler Myocardial Imaging but who wish to learn and understand the new deformation methodologies and integrate them into their research or daily practice. Researchers will appreciate the clinical feedback when newest results are discussed and are given a platform for discussion and exchange of ideas.
What are the main Topics?
- Doppler and Speckle Tracking methods
- 3D Deformation Imaging
- Right Ventricular Function
- Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy
