<p>Uvod: U gotovo svim dijelovima svijeta dnevni je unos soli dvostruko ve&#x0107;i (ponegdje i vi&#x0161;i) od preporu&#x010D;enih vrijednosti (&lt; 5 g/dan). Prema podatcima nacionalne akcije &#x201C;Croatian Action on Salt and Health &#x2013; CRASH&#x201D; prosje&#x010D;an je dnevni unos soli u odrasloj populaciji Hrvatske 13,3 &#x00B1; 4,3 g na dan za mu&#x0161;karce i 10,2 &#x00B1; 4,2 g na dan za &#x017E;ene, ve&#x0107;i je u ruralnim nego u urbanim sredinama, ve&#x0107;i je u mu&#x0161;karaca nego u &#x017E;ena, a u visokom unosu dominiraju isto&#x010D;na i gorska Hrvatska (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="r1"><italic>1</italic></xref>, <xref ref-type="bibr" rid="r2"><italic>2</italic></xref>). Zbog ubrzanog &#x017E;ivotnog i radnog tempa &#x201E;skrivenoj soli&#x201C; iz polugotove, gotove i restoranske hrane mogla bi biti izlo&#x017E;ena posebice mlada studentska populacija (<xref ref-type="bibr" rid="r3"><italic>3</italic></xref>). Stoga je cilj ovoga istra&#x017E;ivanja bio odrediti unos kuhinjske soli u studentskoj populaciji Medicinskog fakulteta Osijek.</p>
<p>Ispitanici i metode: U studiju je bilo uklju&#x010D;eno 102 studentice prosje&#x010D;ne dobi 20 &#x00B1; 2 godina. Svim ispitanicama izmjereni su indeks tjelesne mase (ITM) i omjer struk-bokovi (SBO). Vrijednosti arterijskog tlaka i pulsa (prosjek tri uzastopna mjerenja) su izmjerene nakon 15 minuta mirovanja u sjede&#x0107;em polo&#x017E;aju OMRON tlakomjerom. Svim ispitanicama je uzet uzorak venske krvi i 24-satni urin te je u&#x010D;injena biokemijska obrada standardnim laboratorijskim metodama. Koli&#x010D;ina unosa soli u organizam odre&#x0111;ena je na temelju vrijednosti natriurije iz 24-satnog urina (Na mmol/dU) koja je podijeljena s nazivnikom 17,1 i na taj na&#x010D;in je dobivena koli&#x010D;ina NaCl u gramima.</p>
<p>Rezultati: Prosje&#x010D;an ITM ispitanica bio je 22,4 &#x00B1; 3,3 kg/m<sup>2</sup>, s naglaskom da je 87% (89/102) imalo preporu&#x010D;eni ITM &lt; 24,9 kg/m<sup>2</sup>. Prosje&#x010D;an SBO bio je 0,73 &#x00B1; 0,04. U ispitanica nije opa&#x017E;ena zna&#x010D;ajna povezanost izme&#x0111;u unosa soli te ITM-a ili SBO. Dnevni unos soli u studentica je bio 7,1 &#x00B1; 2,8 grama/dan. U &#x010D;ak 39% (40/102) ispitanica je unos soli bio &lt; 6 g/dan dok je u 18% (18/102) unos soli bio &gt; 10 g/dan. Najvi&#x0161;i zabilje&#x017E;en unos soli bio je 17,6 g/dan. Ispitanice su bile normotenzivne te urednih vrijednosti glukoze nata&#x0161;te i lipidograma. Nije na&#x0111;ena zna&#x010D;ajna povezanost izme&#x0111;u unosa soli i mjerenih biokemijskih parametara, dok je multiplom linearnom regresijom na&#x0111;ena zna&#x010D;ajna povezanost izme&#x0111;u unosa soli i sistoli&#x010D;kog arterijskog tlaka (P &lt; 0,025).</p>
<p>Zaklju&#x010D;ak: Rezultati ove studije: 1) pokazuju da je unos soli u studentskoj populaciji (i to medicinske struke) manji od hrvatskog prosjeka za &#x017E;ene odrasle dobi, ali jo&#x0161; uvijek znatno vi&#x0161;i od preporu&#x010D;enih 5 g/dan; 2) potvr&#x0111;uju izrazitu povezanost izme&#x0111;u unosa soli i vrijednosti sistoli&#x010D;kog arterijskoga tlaka &#x010D;ak i u zdravoj mladoj normotenzivnoj populaciji; 3) potvrda su za potrebom i poticaj za daljnji nastavak Inicijative za smanjenje kuhinjske soli u prehrani u Hrvatskoj.</p>
